What Is My Surgery Intranet?
If a practice website is the way of providing patients with information about your services, an intranet is the application for organising and maintaining your internal information.
It encompasses many different facets of modern practice management such as document organisation, shared calendars & contacts, holiday planning, instant messaging and much more. Accessing all of these available features through one central point makes the day to day running of a general practice much more efficient and productive.
How Does It Work?
The Intranet is hosted on our secure servers so that you don't need to install any server software or hardware on your surgery network. As everything is accessed through your Internet browsers there is no client software to install either, and because the link to our servers is encrypted you can be sure that the traffic is secure.
My Surgery Intranet has been developed in house to provide you with an easy to understand, simple to maintain intranet facility. We have applied our extensive experience of developing web applications for primary care to the "My Surgery Intranet" product and it continues to evolve thanks to the feedback from our hundreds of users.
How Much Does It Cost?
The Intranet licence price is £235 plus VAT per annum. This entitles you to any number of users and an unlimited number of pages on your Intranet site. No hidden fees or extras. The Intranet is fully hosted, backed up, supported and maintained for this price. If you have a practice website with us then you will receive a 10% discount each year.
Create pages and menus yourself to organise documents. You can link in documents individually or synchronise intranet pages with folders on your practice network. Create pages and sub-pages to make everything easy to locate.
CQC Evidence Tool
As practices are now required to register with the CQC, we have created a CQC Evidence tool to help you meet the CQC registration guidelines. Assign your documents to outcomes and view an evidence report.
Create shared and personal entries in your practice diary. Everyone always has access to the day's events so no appointments are ever missed. You can create recurring entries and also add in tasks and holidays to give a daily picture of what is happening within the practice.
Patient Survey Tool
Create your own patient surveys using the simple, custom built patient survey tool. Publish on your website and the survey tool will automatically collate and graph the results.
Consolidate all your phone numbers, email addresses and other contact details into one location. There is built in search capability and the ability to create categories and groupings to allow fast and easy access to all your useful contacts.
Send messages to other intranet users. If they are logged on a message will pop up on their computer almost immediately. If they are not logged on then the next time they access the intranet they will receive your message.
One of the headaches of practice management is holiday allocation. Within the intranet you can view this all in a calendar format and also create reports to show you the annual holiday plans and allocation for all your staff members.
To Do List
The to-do-list allows you to create tasks for users, individuals or groups of users. You can display these within the calendar and also within the helpful information bar allowing you and your staff to keep on top of your outstanding tasks.
Set the weekly schedule for your staff so you can see who is in the practice and when. Like the Holiday Planner, it automatically picks up staff from your website to add to the diary.
Organise your room rota for all the staff ensuring that you can view which rooms are available when. Automatic integration with the Holiday Planner allows you to ensure that nothing is missed when your staff are on leave.
You can use the intranet to create personal notes. These are only available to the user - no one else at the practice can see them.
The integrated search facility provides you with a quick and easy method of locating pages, documents and other information held within the intranet. You will also get a search history allowing you access to recently searched for items.
